Case Study #3 – Reducing work overwhelm

Client Challenge

  • This provincial government client and his staff worked with executive coaches in the past, but felt that the coaches weren’t providing the practical advice and assistance that was required to manage overwhelming workload.

Our Role

  • To provide practical tools and techniques to help the client and his staff to become better organized, reduce their stress levels, and help them to better manage their workloads.

Results

  • Client gained awareness and hands-on practice in reducing physical clutter and organizing their office workspace to enable efficient workflow.
  • Client gained awareness about the three major timewasters – lack of planning, lack of self-management and lack of control over work environment.
  • Client and staff improved their physical workspace, learned how to better manage their time by improving their personal methods for work, and gained awareness about how mindset can impact management of work.
For me, the value of this project has extended beyond just my office at work. I continue to use the tools and techniques that I learned from Mary both at work and at home. I feel more organized overall. …I highly recommend Mary to anyone looking to improve the efficiency and productivity of their workplace. …she will enable you to save time while getting more done at work and reap the reward of more free personal time as a result.
