Lori Roter

Lori has provided almost two decades of exceptional quality service to clients such as the BC Ministry of Health, the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, the BC Environmental Industry Association and the Certified Management Consultants of British Columbia.  Lori has also offered extensive leadership through her role as President and Public Relations Director with the Vancouver Island Chapter of the Project Management Institute, and currently, as an active Board Member with the Greater Victoria Police Victims Services Society.

Lori has a Science Degree from McMaster University and a Masters’ Degree from the University of Victoria in Resources Management.  As someone who is committed to ongoing learning, Lori has also obtained her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Risk Management certification (CRM) and is currently pursuing an accounting designation through the Certified General Accountants’ Association.

Lori’s experience ranges from leading, coordinating and administering projects of varying sizes and scope, developing risk assessments and organizational strategic and business plans, to providing detailed analyses and policy advice for business growth initiatives, regulatory compliance concerns, stakeholder engagement and overall human resources empowerment. Lori is seasoned in consulting and negotiating with various levels of management and executive, within and outside of government across a broad spectrum of program areas.

Lori places a great deal of emphasis on facilitating discussions in an attempt to reach consensus on sensitive, multi-faceted issues and to establish defined project frameworks to allow for follow-through on cross-disciplinary initiatives involving multiple stakeholders. She has an in-depth understanding of the intricacies of complex projects and the sensitivity required for engaging and properly communicating with diverse stakeholder groups.

Lori’s strong analytical ability allows her to successfully identify hidden issues and to find new opportunities for program evolution and development. As a conceptual thinker, she has a remarkable ability to plan in accordance with broadly scoped initiatives, yet being someone who is focused on excellence, pays particular attention to detail and the delivery of outcomes that are tailored specifically to the needs of individual clients.
