Mike Ray

Mike Ray is both a professional coach and a computer engineer. He is a “techie” with heart and adept at helping clients make the best use of the latest technology. His knowledge is grounded in 15 years of experience in leading technical teams and managing a large multi-million dollar engineering department.

His expertise ranges from the design and implementation of low power wireless data acquisition systems to leading a cross-discipline engineering department to produce high quality low cost consumer products and manufacturing over one million units overseas.

Mike is equally skilled at helping clients get the best out of their teams and their work relationships by collaborating with clients to find solutions to issues involving both people and technology. For example, Mike was able to facilitate the resolution of a personality conflict that initially seemed to be a non-conformance issue with a technical documentation standard. Other examples of Mike’s work include team building facilitation and design, and improving interpersonal communication.

Mike completed his degree in computer engineering at the University of Alberta and received his coaching certification from Coaching and Leadership International. Being keenly aware of the value of ongoing learning, Mike continues to update his education at every opportunity. Recent programs have included certification in conflict resolution, SDI® Qualification Training, and Project Management.
