Client Challenge

  • This private organization was experiencing overwhelm with its records management practices. Before deciding upon and making changes to its program, the executive wanted to know what practices were serving the organization well and what practices could be improved.

Our Role

  • To facilitate focus groups, identify themes and prepare a summary document of key findings as well as recommendations for priority action items.


  • Client gained awareness about current business practices that were negatively impacting its records management program.
  • Records management practices that needed to be addressed in light of industry best practice standards (with particular consideration to ISO 15489) were highlighted and noted.
  • Client now had an understanding about its key records management priorities and what it needed to do to gain efficiencies and effectiveness with its records management program.
Working with executives and key staff, Mary did an excellent job of quickly identifying our key requirements and recommending a comprehensive yet specific series of actions to address our major challenges. The entire project, from initial contracting through to final recommendations was within budget, timely, and of real value to the organization.
